Voltaire Cacal

Elder & Missions Director

 

Voltaire Cacal has been with BCC since 1997 (when he first moved to Texas from California). He currently serves on the Board of Elders and as Director for Missions & Evangelism and Family Life ministries. He was born in Ilocos Norte, Philippines and grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. Voltaire is married to Tina and they have both been blessed with two daughters, Charis and Keanna.

 

He is a graduate of Cal Poly (San Luis Obispo, CA) having received a B.S. in Electronic Engineering and an M.S./M.B.A. in Engineering Management, and has had extensive experience in the telecommunications industry (having been involved with introducing DSL as well as new Optical Networking technologies). Now in vocational ministry, he is in the Cross-Cultural Ministries program at DTS and has been involved with pastoral training all around the world, evangelism, spiritual formation for students and church leaders, and mobilizing people for missions. With BCC as his home church and key place of service, Voltaire also serves CAM International in the area of Strategic Partnerships (connecting individuals and groups for strategic mobilization into missions).

 

Throughout the week, you’ll find Voltaire meeting with different people (whether it’s at Bible studies, spiritual formation groups, networking groups, or at a local coffee shop). He loves doing things outdoors (camping, hiking, biking, 4-wheeling, SCUBA diving, riding his motorcycle, rappelling, or just hanging out by the ocean). He also loves to travel and connect with people all over the world. But, most of all, he loves spending time with his family and learning new things with them.
